How to delete your Boutique Console shop and account, what goes with it, and how long it takes.

This page explains how a shop owner can delete their Boutique Console account and every record of their shop. Deleting cannot be undone.

Delete it in the app

Only the shop’s owner can do this, and you need to be signed in.

  1. Open Boutique Console and sign in.
  2. Open Settings: tap your profile (your picture or initials at the top of Home on a phone, or at the top right on a computer), then All settings.
  3. Open Sign-in.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete shop and account.
  5. Type your shop’s name exactly as it is shown, then tap Delete shop.

The app deletes your shop and signs you out. If something goes wrong (for example, no internet), it tells you, keeps everything as it was, and you can try again.

If you cannot sign in, or would rather we did it, contact us from the mobile number registered to your shop (or the email you sign in with), and tell us the shop’s name. We confirm it is you before deleting anything.

What is deleted

Everything belonging to the shop:

  • the owner’s login, and any staff logins for the shop;
  • the owner’s name, email and mobile number, and the shop’s profile, logo, GST, UPI and invoice settings;
  • every customer, with their names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, birthdays, anniversaries and measurements;
  • every order, payment, advance, balance and refund;
  • cash and bank records, expenses and reports;
  • every photo of garments, fabric, bills and customers;
  • the record of WhatsApp messages sent to the shop’s customers.

What is kept

Nothing, except our own GST invoices for subscriptions you paid us, which we keep for as long as GST law requires.

WhatsApp messages already delivered stay on your customers’ phones, and Meta handles its own copies under its own policy; we cannot delete those.

How long it takes

  • In the app: the shop is deleted from our live systems straight away.
  • By asking us: within 30 days of confirming it is you, usually much sooner.
  • Backups: copies can stay in Google’s encrypted backups for up to 30 more days before they are overwritten. They are not used or restored in that time.
